My mind is Grind. Grind is in the mind.

Blueprint SRV Run #6:
I'm gonna have dreams about driving to these pylons, aren't I?

Blueprint SRV Run #7:
I've done this so often the pylons are starting to talk to me.

Blueprint SRV Run #8:
Pylon 1: "Come here often? LOL!"

Blueprint SRV Run #9:

Pylon 4: "So who do you think will win the World Cup?"

Blueprint SRV Run #10:

Pylon 3: "Seen any good films lately?"

Blueprint SRV Run #11:
When I get these weapons, I'm going to use them. On this Guardian site!

Blueprint SRV Run #12:
Done! DONE! Ma grind is over!

Frontier? You have to do better than this for game design. I don't mind working for kit in games, as long as its fun. After Run #4.....I dunno what it was but it wasn't fun.

I was doing 2 runs per night, and then last night I worked by backside off had fun and collected the final 5 blueprints. I won't be collecting more Guardians blueprints for a long while, not until my Grind Juice is replenished. Maybe Frontier will reduce the grind by then? We can only hope.

Yeah the response from the ED community has been pretty much universal regarding this new grind. Hopefully Frontier has a plan up their sleeve for the 3.1 update to fix this and make it more fun to do.

I am going to wait and see what FD does before I develop such a deep personal relationship with the pylons.

Great post +1 :D

Hopefully Frontier has a plan up their sleeve for the 3.1 update to fix this and make it more fun to do.

I wouldn't expect much to change for these missions in 3.1. Hopefully they can lower the requirements and maybe improve the Guardian drones to be more of a threat, but for something more we just need better planetary mechanics and new SRVs. Maybe in the Q4 update.

Yeh ive got enough for a single wep unlock... and im not chasing anymore. I blew a blood vessel in my bordom lobe getting those blueprints.

The game really does need more ways to acquire them.

How about this new system:

- Go to ancient ruins to scan obelisks for pattern data and recover artifacts and relics
- Go to a query hub (new type of ruin) where you arrange relics in receptacles feed a relic to the query generator and imprint it with a set of pattern data to produce a certain data query relic
- Go to orb site, activate orb, put data query relic into the slot, scan orb for blueprint fragment, repeat as you have queries available without the need to activate all of it again

This will get you around places, lets you control which blueprint fragments you get, does not need you to reset the instance and has a puzzle you need to figure out with the artifact combinations on the receptacles.

To unlock the Guardian ships.

Small ship: 10 vessel blueprints.
Medium ship: 25 vessel blueprints
Large ship: 50 vessel blueprints.

Guardian SLF 4 vessel blueprints.

You have not felt the grind yet. This is all guess work :p

Oh yeah a complete overhaul is probably not in the cards, I guess what I meant was they could at least reduce the grind to a manageable level, and hopefully, this time, take lessons away on how not to introduce new content.

I did 8 for the plasma chargers a while back, and the whole process seemed rather trivial, almost relaxing even. Not while I was doing it, it seemed ridiculous then, but afterwards in comparison to the frustration of spending a week trying to find micro-weave cooling hoses that I know for a fact I've gotten hundreds of before, when in turned out they were inadvertently removed from the game while fixing another mission board fiasco. I want to try the cannons out, but the idea of four more rounds somehow sounds worse than the eight I've already done.

Perhaps these will get the 3-for-1 collections treatment, just like materials.

I don't know how many blueprints are required to unlock everything, so maybe 3-1 wouldn't be high enough? Maybe 5-1?

I haven't even started, because I don't feel like I have a ship that can do some of the pre-requisite stuff, and I'm not going out there without everything that appears to be needed.

They'll fix this grind given enough public flak about it.

They will however ignore all other grinds that are not getting any air time right now.

I would be VERY interested to see the "drop out rate" percentage for this mission compared to normal.

Between that early bug that wiped your mission off your transaction panel in a week instead of 30 days, totally DELETING all of your progress, to the plain old grind based burnout...

I don't think I have seen more commanders dump out of a brand new mission in such high numbers before. (Myself included. - Victim of Mission Deletion Bug - 17 Hours of Progress LOST!)

EPIC FAIL?

What else would you call it?

Hey OP, why do you feel the need to self impose grind? Don't you know that you should just let this stuff come to you "organically" while you do other things?

I am choosing to just not unlock them. There is no point for my gameplay to have them as Engineered regular options are sufficient for me.

Did one guardian site once, that was enough, as it doesn’t point to other sites, there is no incentive to shoot things repeatedly for th3 same result. Very boring.

God no. Please God no.

Just be glad you didn't do it for a module the removed right before you were able to purchase it.

Yeah, I dodged a bullet there. At least you've (hopefully) got the refund for wasted materials.

I see what you did there. [yesnod]

Dont do it! The more people complete the multiple rounds the more they tell FDev through the metrics that everything is fine

I wasn't going to do it, but I guess I was curious and I felt I was missing out on content.....so I did it. I wanted to see the new ruins and experience the gameplay (stop laughing) at those ruins.

What's there is very nice. Its just asking a bit too much to do those unlocks that many times. I had to do it over multiple days, no way my mind could have stayed intact doing those SRV runs in one play session, let alone one day.

Do it once, or don't do it at all. Let them see people are not getting the weapons.

Remember Engineer commodities...

This. I was actually almost inclined to do it once I heard there was something that could “boost” my fsd but I figured it didn’t come with any new visuals and I really didn’t need it anyway... and that whole grind thing so..... nope!

TBH this is where you should have stopped imo.
What do others think of the plasmas? I stopped at 4, but all I see so far is people loading anything but Guass and flack struggling to take down hearts. That seems to be the most critical thing?

Shard cannons look quite good, but are they '8' good?
