General / Off-Topic *They* live amongst us! And Magritte's painting.

According to a report by Gizmodo, on Thursday, billionaire entrepreneur Peter Thiel took the stage at the New York Times DealBook conference to offer fresh insights on how to navigate some of the challenges that await Silicon Valley. He also reportedly addressed allegations that he engages in an experimental life-extension therapy that involves the injection of blood from young donors. In response to Dealbook's host Andrew Ross Sorkin's questions, Thiel reportedly said, "On the record. I am not a vampire."

Of course not. [yesnod]

Then there's this lady, who issued a peculiar political advert back in 2010.

.... candidate to represent Delaware in the Senate, Christine O'Donnell, has produced a simple advert in which she tells voters in a direct appeal, 'I am not a witch ... I am you'.

It really doesn't help when you dress in black, agains a black background filled with mysterious vapors while declaring oneself to not be a witch. Just saying. (Sadly, she didn't win. )

There have been many historical denials that are real knee slappers. But these 2 are the most entertaining to me.

Here's a funny one that has become a meme:

Everybody knows that one. But did you know that ( sadly in the pre-YouTube era) Elton John used to deny being gay?

Magritte was prescient.

The obvious denies itself.

Vampire or witch could also mean something different to the people defending themselves, despite the common interpretation and associated ideas, the meaning of words can be different in subgroups and shift if enough can agree on something new.

Christopher Reeve wasn't called a vampire in that one Southpark episode either. Is blood doping considered vampirism, or even auto-vampirism? "Real" vampires need the blood to survive and might not like the association with somebody that is rich enough to do crazy experiments either, but that might be just classism.

I often feel that none of this bodes well for humankind, but then I consider that we're probably just getting better at uncovering such weirdness...

Many myths and legends began life from a seed of truth...funnily enough this is why we currently have Santa Claus because once upon a time, there really was an old guy who gave presents to children at christmas every year.

Its an old saying round many parts that when the full moon comes out, so do the crazies...could there be a link? Its a common enough quote that exists in many countries in different forms but the point being that the idea itself is already deep within our psych that when theres a full moon, its an easily believable notion that crazy stuff happens. We already accept the idea even though science cant prove it...but like religion, they cant disprove it either...too many unexplained anomolies, too many coincidences fer them all to be coincidences...

In the end...the thirst always wins...Jack daniels and red bull sorta looks a bit like blood and I drive a black Alfa Romeo with black tinted windows...ladies, form an orderly line if ye will ^

Hm, if you want to do something religious or other at night, it would be useful to do it during full moon. "crazies" might like to do their meetings or other events while the probability is high that they are not disturbed. It is also related to the measurement of time, like highlighting the first day of a month. There is the expectation that something weird should happen during a full moon, because there are countless stories set at that time and if you call attention to this (or dates like friday the thirteenth), people will behave differently, be it conscious or unconscious.

Blood is highly nutritious and if consumed regularly people will start to feel good because of all the minerals. Eat a raw food diet of fruit and veggies. You feel energised and clean inside after about three days. Especially after your body starts to use fat as fuel. Soon as that REFINED sugar is reintroduced and hits your system, then it's back to the highs and lows of the crash.

So it seems David Icke was possibly right. There are blood drinking reptilians controlling us indirectly. Nudging us through movies and TV. Sculpting society to their needs at the detriment of ours. it's only when you pull off the proverbial blinders and put on those shades that Roddy Piper rocked back in the 80's will we see beneath the veneer.
