Powerplay They Ruined Elite Dangerous with the powerplay.

One thing, PowerPlay ruined Bounties, you should have the ability to pay off your bounties like previously, yes its easier for people with more credits and better ships, but one they worked for it, so in the long run should be easier, and two, if its to easy, make it more expsensive, The Second thing, is THE TIMERS on bounties, I got a 184 Credit bounty for hitting another ship, And now I have to wait 7 god damn days for a 100cr bounty to go away, So for 6 days I cannot grind for my federal assault ship, well I can, but will get killed in the process because of a 100cr bounty, and This only ruins the games playerbase even more, yes people just go to a different faction and avoid the bounty, but i bet there are thousands of people as well who just dont play the game until there bounty timer is up, and thats annoying to me, I would really like to talk to the person at frontier who thought that this update was a good idea, yes the factions (Main Powers) Is amazing and i love the whole merit thing, but there are a lot of things also ruined in this update, and bounties, are one of them.

I have clipped other ships and low bounties like that last minutes. You only get large times measured in days if you kill.

If you are poor, don't come in PP, your life will be more easy and safe ! PP ruined nothing, just learn to manage and live with ED rules.

Small bounties like that expire in minutes. Just jump to another system, get a few bounties there and return. Or even better, relax, step away from the computer and drink some coffee. Remember: Don't Panic.

IIRC the PP rules are illogical though.

ED:
- Excluding Anarchy systems:
-- If you see another ship and it's clean but you shoot it you're now wanted.
-- If another ship shoots you (and you were clean) they become wanted and you can return fire

This is all based on the local system. Makes sense.

PP (doing this from memory when the beta was launched so it may have changed since):
- You join a power
-- Go into another territory
-- If an "enemy" power shoots you, and you are clean [local jurisdiction] then returning fire results in you getting fined, not them.

Is this still the case ?

I do like when other PP factions interdict me. And I blow them up. You never know who wants your scalp. I miss PP decals though on ships and maybe faction paint. Yeah.

I don't know i don't care about fine and bounty, but i think yes. But, wth would u want to go into another PP territory, except in order to kill his supporters, and become wanted in final result ? ^^

No. Only if that enemy belongs to the Power which controls that system.

In the latest beta (maybe on Live too, haven't played Live for a while), you also get enemy PP agents who are Wanted already and provide large bounties when killed, which is a bonus.

  • I pledge to Power X
  • I go into Power Y's system and there's another NPC ship who pledged to Power Y.
  • Regardless as to that ship's local status, if they shoot me and I return fire I become wanted by the local system ?

If so, that means the local police who are not pledged to the power will also now shoot me, right ?

Correct.

I suppose you can think about if you're in the UK and a G4S security guard detains you, if you fight back you're likely to get arrested by the police because G4S are an officially Government-sanctioned security force.

THe bounty changes have nothing to do with Power Play. They just happened to be introduced in the same patch.

The decision FDev made was being able to just kill anyone you like, then pay 6000cr meant there was no real penalty.
Being wanted for 7 days is the new penalty.

They also changed it so you were only wanted by that specific minor faction, not the major faction, so if you kill someone in Federation space, you are not wanted in all Federation systems, just that one.
Jump next door and you will not be wanted.

The bonus that players get when they are pledged to Archon Delaine is a reduction in their fines and bounties, but because you can no longer pay off bounties, getting 20% off an amount you can't pay is pointless.

Thanks - sorry for being pedantic :)
