I can almost imagine the mods seeing the thread title and the author and groaning inwardly at the thought of what delights await them

So...explorers and the concept of "space madness" has gone hand in hand since forever and a bit...but is it role play or genuine insanity?

As I scan through the forum, its all salt and attempts at building hype which isnt really that much fun anymore. Dont get me wrong, I can be as salty as the next man, but it wears one down after a time. Basically whats happening is that I cba with about 5 quarters of the forum so Ive decided to start a funny and see where it goes.

So are ye a genuine nutball or is it just role play?

Perfect...hirsute is best as its easier to skin them before basting them in salted butter and covering them in tin foil before at least 90 minutes at 220 degrees.

You dont start off mad when you go exploring
In fact you start off perfectly sane and normal thinking .... I'll just go a couple of 1000 ly out or maybe 5000 to access palin
Then it starts.... lets go a bit further... a run to Colonia. then the honk scoop jump routine sets in and you see how far you can go in an hr.. then you find an earthlike and think of the money

ANd more money.. but the honk jump scoop takes over..... soon the weeks of lonlyness take their toll and you imagine you can see things in your ship
Finally your mind cant take it anymore and you start talking to things only you can see.....

By the time you return to the bubble (if you return that is), the scan trigger relex will be permanent and you'll be as mad as the rest of the explorers

Just a few hundred ly journey and even long super cruise rides will bring out my inner nutcase, I couldn't imagine the madness of traveling to the center or further

And my friends are quite annoyed by it as well I'll be in an Xbox live party with them and after a short while they can tell I'm going on a time consuming journey

I still have the original 45 rpm record of this that I bought when I was a kid! The other side of the record played the track backwards, and the label on that side was printed in reverse as well! Napoleon the 14th is the name of the artist I believe.

A Warner Brothers release with an Orange Label. I practically wore the thing out! (The backwards side to a much higher degree! I learned how to speak backwards thanks to that record!)
