Manual docking is fun and fast, but manual supercruising is tedious and slow.
Especially for a trader - most of my game time is spent in SC.

Can you imagine how slow it would be if you did it on auto pilot?
Doing SC manually at least you can gun it to 20Ls and then do your loop to bleed the speed off, usually leaves me 1-2Ls or less and about 10k/kms.
If it was on autopilot I'd expect it would start throttling down about 100Ls and bring you in nice and safe.
Also how would you expect it to autopilot around Interdictions? You certainly couldn't AFK while in SC auto, in case this happened. So you'd basicaly just be staring at the screen watching your life disappear.
I actually enjoy the SC part of trading, do near lightspeed loops around a planet to kill my speed is awesome fun
