Things to get done before 3.0 drops

What tasks have you set yourself to complete before 3.0 arrives?

Personally, I've been busy making sure I have access to all Engineers I am likely to need and that I have sufficient high grade materials/data to be sure I am off to a good start with my "essential" engineered ships.

Of course that includes a T-10 for exploration, when the ship is properly FSD-engineered.

And don't forget the selfies against the backdrop of bland, beige planets ..... because in a years' time nobody will believe how bad they were ! :D

I've been stocking up on very rare materials so I could use the material trader. I figure I'll have more flexibility for re-engineering my existing modules to see if I can squeeze out a bit more performance from them.

Surprisingly, I'm far happier at the release of the new ships than I am at just buying them. I'm currently heading back to the bubble so I can be there in time for 3.0, but I fully intend to sell my Type-10 and tweak my Type-9 even further as a beast-mode miner.

Let's see...

Engineer modules to G5 - been done, long time.

Make enough credits to buy and fully outfit a Chieftain or Two - been done, long time.

Make enough credits to buy and fully outfit a second Cutter - just finished on Saturday.

I'm pretty sure I'm all set here... in the words of Peter Griffin, Wonder-Twin: "Now to wait."

I've TRIED to pin as many blueprints as I could until I realized that the game had an unwritten blueprint cap and was unpinning the least recent blueprint everytime I pinned a new one.

I just re-purchased a new Type-9 Heavy. I do want to get it engineered with at least 1 G5 roll on the key components (esp FSD) before 3.0 ships so I can top it off afterwards. The newly buffed Type-9 is going to be very useful once the new release goes live. Other than that I am pretty much ready to go.

Oh hell with it, some of this stuff is repetitive, no wonder I don't make lists! :p

I only just picked up the game again this week after a long break. Finally got around to unlocking the rest of the engineers. I had 4 or 5 done, unlocked all but 1 in the last couple of days. I still need Dangerous combat rank for the last one, 40% to go :) Trying to get that one done before 3.0 hits

Finding a geyser site, which I just found, close by and compare it afterwards. The only question for me now is, do I stay on the site before the update. I might get berried in a mountain. lol

Fly/land safe.

I've just about completed my prep.

The plan was simple... Collect all G5 Mats and Data in the highest quantities possible. Dump everything else as space runs low with the exception of a few well known mats and data that are mandatory ingredients for engineering a wide range of modules.

While things like Cracked Industrial Firmware can now be traded for using many G5 items, I still held onto 40ish of the usual suspects, while something like Exquisite Focus Crystals and Polonium now each take up 80 units worth of my 2.4 inventory space.

I haven't been grinding for mats because I hate having to throw any away, even G1s. So what I've been doing instead is unlock and rep up more engineers. Though I've been doing it sort of casually, in addition to my usual CG-running. It's not something I've been super laser-focused on or whatever.

Nothing for me, i'm more waiting forthe changes to boost the FSD on my Type 7 then the Silly Ships 3 expedition can launch.

Oh, and i probably should take a bath... that time of year and all....
