So I only just started playing E: D about a week ago, so I have no clue or scope of how they've improved the game over time -- but as a new player, I've noticed a few odd interface issues that I wonder if anyone anticipates they may fix. Or if it can be assumed the way it is is the way it shall always be?
For example, and primarily, in the Maps (both Galaxy and System), I have the most annoying time trying to UNselect a system/object, and if the call-out info box on a selected or moused-over item is up, nothing under it is selectable. It's difficult to impossible to move my selection to another object that might be underlapped by the call-out display. Sometimes I even have to exit the map and re-enter in order to select a new object.
That seems to be an interface problem.
A feature I wonder if they'll add (or maybe it exists and I simply cannot find it), is when you have a course set in the Galaxy Map, there's no indicator of how many jumps or total LYs that course is UNLESS you exit the map and go to the basic Navigation menu and see it across the top.
It would just be really useful to see that info in the Galaxy Map without having to exit it to see it before going back into Map to adjust the route.
