Thinking about switching back to Eagle.

So...

All through Gamma I mostly played in my Eagle, absolutely top ship upgraded to the hilt and able to stay behind almost anything and dodge incoming fire.

Before go live, I switched to a viper upgraded it a bit, new power unit, thrusters decent weapon load out and have recently upgraded a cobra which I have started to upgrade.

But I just havent fallen in love with the Viper or the Cobra in the same way I did the Eagle.

Whats everyone's thoughts, primarily a bounty hunter but would like the flexibility to do other things occasionally. Could of course keep multiple ships but want to travel a bit through the galaxy so having to keep back to the same station to swap ships wouldn't really suit my needs.

Should I persevere with the Cobra a bit longer, upgrade it and see how it goes? or switch back.

Any thoughts welcomed.

Well, put it this way, Eagles seem to pop from my lasers much much faster than cobras or vipers. If you can manage to stay alive, that's great.. If not - and it might be possible that as you rank up, you get harder and harder enemies in instances - then an upgrade might make sense, no?

Its a good point, you have to be able to stay behind someone in an Eagle once your shields are down your hull vanishes at an alarming rate. But with decent thrusters fitted you can usually stay out of danger. Turrets can be a problem if you cant find a blind spot or if you are facing more than one opponent at the same time.

i love my eagles, but that "getting around the galaxy" part can be hard while keeping their sting at the same time.
so my current game goal is to place some tricked out short range combat eagles and vipers in various corner of the galaxy and keeping the cobra to get around whit.

Yep that's probably not a bad idea, get an Eagle setup in those favorite places I'm aiming around Lave, Sol, Eranin, somewhere in the Empire etc. Good Tip.

Of course Im really waiting for the Fer De Lance.....
