Thinking to come back

Hi Cmdrs, i played ED last year for abount 350 hours until we find bernacles and Dr. Palin was lost moving in his new station somewere in Maia (if i recall correctly) I have about 30 Milions in bank and some ships (Federlance, ASP Explorer, Phyton, Imperial Clipper and some smaller one)

Now i was thinking to come back to see whats new around, i got some new hardware compare to last year (rift and rudder pedals) and a better internet connection, but i'm a little scared for the amount of new stuff i will find in the game. Also i still see a lot of people complaining about different aspect of the game. Last year i left mainly because after so many hours i was ready for some new games and because ED start to feel a leattle bit mmm how to say? No boring, kind of empty or dead. I was doing mainly community goals (mobius group) and some missions. Dont take me wrong, i had great time, but after so many hors spent grinding i was ready to move on.

So in your opinion, will be worth to jump in the game again and spend more hours flying in the space? I will find a lot of new thinks that i have to learn (Engineers and Guardians) or i can fly straight away?

Thanks to all and fly safe Cmdrs!!

Really all you can do is try it because the content is so subjectively good relying on someone else to say if you should come back just doesn't work.
I had a while off when 2.2 landed and then came back and I enjoy the game more now, but I'm not you.

You've been gone awhile. Hope to see you back!

You should be okay to just start jumping right back into the game but I'd pick up a cheap ship until you get used to flying again. The AI has been improved quite a bit (though insta-kill cases are rare now and limited to the legendary Elites should you find them.)

The engineers can be a pain but rewarding and not that difficult at all though if you're looking for specific stuff, it's gonna be a grind.

Passangers missions are brand new as well as Ship Launched Fighters but don't expect to be a carrier type though you may find it fun zipping around in a fighter.

It's both the same Elite you remembered but there's new stuff to do as well. Up to you want you want to focus on.

Also some misterious monoliths have been found. A new puzzle to solve...

go to the cannon thread if you are into this things.

edit: or if you are not - there is Yuri Grom added to famous and much glorified and widely loved powerplay!

(but dont try to interdict other ships - it's gotten difficult like finding icecream in hell)

As Hell's exclusive Ice Cream vendor, I assure you Ice Cream is quite easy to find. And it only costs a smile.
Finding a smile in Hell though.. that's another story.

okay to anwser your question, did you like the game before? if yes, its safe to say you will like the game again.

you say you left because of burnout? if the new conent is incentive enough for you to be intrested, you might be able to come back for a small amount of time intill you get burnt out on the new content.
