Third fire button?

As someone who has plenty of buttons on my HOTAS( guessing I'm not alone here), why only two? We can have plenty of fire groups, but only 2 buttons in each. Seems a bit backwards.

Even if you're fine with juggling fire groups adding a third or a fourth button shouldn't be an issue.

This has been asked for many times - each time that a Dev has responded to one of the threads, the answer has been no.

Fdev designed the HUD around a two button approach

I would already be happy if I could bind the KWS to a different button, just like we can with chaff and shield cells.
 
I'd be happy with the addition of "scan groups". Fire groups specifically for scanners.

I, to this day, do not understand why scanners must be part of a fire group. Why do I need to deploy hardpoints to scan wakes? They are not mounted on hard points, for heavens sake...

Having to add and remove scanners from fire groups for combat also gets old quite fast...

One more would be nice. I typically have 3 fire groups dedicated to blacka, blacka, not including scanners. Because I'm always trying different weapons, a third fire button would be much easier then having to remember/flip through fire groups.
