This can all stop if you give me Cr67,000 of cargo

Eh, hang on?

Do you mean purchase price or selling price?
I mean, I could give you cargo which cost me Cr67,000 but you might not be able to sell it for that.
Alternatively, I could give you cargo which I could sell for Cr67,000 if I took it to Maia but if you try to sell it around here you're not going to get that for it.

So, let's see....
I've currently got 45t of Progenitor Cells aboard.
I believe they sell for around C5,700 per tonne.
So, that's 67,000 divided by 5,700.
Cancel out the common zeros, do some rounding up, carry the 1 and I think that 11 tonnes would satisfy you.
Now to pull up my cargo HUD, access my cargo controls and....

HEY! Why are you shooting at me???!!!

Anyone here watched Black Sails?

I can't remember any pirates in that show attacking a ship and yelling at them "all this will stop if you give 30,000 gold coins worth of cargo." :D

This measurement of satisfaction needs to be changed to tons of cargo, and all pirate ships should have at least 1 ship in the same wing capable of carrying a decent amount of stolen goods, otherwise what's the point?

More importantly, where are they going to store it?

Pirates should always be working in groups, with a cargo ship laying back waiting to pick up their spoils.

Always. Until they start letting us steal ships.

In my case, it always goes like...

"It will all stop if you drop *BOOOM*

me : "sorry you where saying ?"

Those Keelbacks are VERY tanky ! Enough to allow me to wait for the cavalry ! :D

I once started ejecting cargo within the 10 second time frame they gave me and they still attacked. They didn't stop attacking until I met their goal. Then they jumped out without visibly picking any of the cargo up. So went back and collected all of it and was only down 3 tons from what I started with and those were rammed and shot by the NPC.

FDev, please fix this behavior routine to give reasonable amount of time or to take the cue that you have come to a dead stop without deploying weapons as a sign of compliance. Then fix it so that the NPC actually picks up the cargo.

It's just a gimmick, you're not supposed to comply. You're supposed to either fight or run.

I always find it amusing to be interdicted for 2 tons of cargo when I'm in my fully engineered Corvette. I mean seriously?

hahaa this is a story more about the title, not the OP,

Had an Elite Python demanding cr200,000 cargo from me. The buggar repeated this line 3 time as his hull went from 50% to 0% - boom - lol , I felt a little bad for the guy, but I was just laughing and laughing cuz he reminded me of the kid in Better Off Dead ...

"...twooo doollaaarrrrrrssss...."

ROFL

I like the way the pirates change it up somewhat though.

Sometimes it's credits-worth, sometimes it's tons of whatever you're carrying, sometimes they specify a specific cargo, "2T of them there tasty biowaste canisters yarrrr". Or something like that.

My last pirate encounter went something like this:

"This can all stop if you give me Cr67,000 of cargo"
"This can all stop if you give me Cr67,000 of cargo"
"This can all stop if you give me Cr67,000 of cargo"
"This can all stop if you give me Cr67,000 of cargo"
"This can all stop if you give me Cr67,000 of cargo"
"This can all stop if you give me Cr67,000 of cargo"
"How is this happening?!"

I don't know why he kept threatening me, when I was clearly winning. Lol

But there isnt and there never will be. The point is to have an excuse to blow you up not get any money. You should know better than that. I mean they are flying the equivalent F16 fighter jet and demanding enough cargo to fill a C130.

Karma and C&P will fix this. Either the kiddies will start to conform/RP correctly or they will be shadow banned or straight up banned from the game eventually. Too bad we cant take past offenses into account to give them a baseline starting level for Karma.

You realise this is about NPCs right?
