is this??.... I have more than enough mats, data etc.. to make some dirty drives, g1 to g5.... sittin at palins station and that's the message I get when I try to upgrade.

tryin to upgrade from g3... why is this happening?.. how do I fix it?

I presume you are trying to convert an old grade 3 module?

Assuming you have the materials, just remove the modification (can be done via outfitting), then start from grade 1 again.

this didn't happen with my g5 fsd, was able to just upgrade it even tho it was already a G5... this is needlessly confusing.

I think only G5 can be converted - but not sure that it is a bug.
