Sorry if I am being too enthusiastic, but I just want to say how much fun I am having with this game. :D

The controls are just Perfect! :)

I played a lot of flight/space sims with my Joystick, but now I can also play with my mouse and I can dogfight as good as with my joystick.

Why? In E: D you can change the controls to suit your taste and that is amazing.

I have a Razer Naga Mouse (17 buttons) and I set 2 of the buttons to do Pitch Up and Pitch Down so I do not need to be repositioning my mouse all the time to dogfight, I can just press PitchUp/Down until I get on the tail of the enemy and than micro adjust the aim for a perfect shot !!!

Also in the same mouse, I can set up more keys with the commands to redirect power to Sys/Eng/Weap/Balance ... GearDown/Up ... targeting ... etc

Anyway ... I am so excited to continue playing this game the way it is now, and I know that it will only gets better.

I said that the controls are perfect, but also, sounds, hyperspace, galaxy maps, graphics are amazing!

Welcome indeed! I would love to see a video of someone playing with a mouse (as in them and the game at the same time) to get an idea of how that works.

Great piece of kit! I bought one last year but found my fingers were a bit too large to manage the side buttons easily. I gave it to my wife (also a keen gamer) and she loves it.

I have to agree on both what you say about elite and the razer naga mouse. I have the 6 side button version and it was 60 pounds well spent, I use it for Diablo 3 and don't think I can go back to any others. the 17 button mouse just looked like I would press several buttons with my fat fingers. :(

Hmm maybe I need to look at assigning the 6 side buttons to something, I know 1, 2 & 3 are for the left and right and centre screens... Thanks for the ideas and glad you're loving the game.

After all the new Beta backers and the inevitable flood of whine-posts, seeing a thread with someone showing enthusiasm is very refreshing.

I don't know but so far the VAST majority of posts here seem to be quite positive. Maybe the few really negative posts stand out a bit but my feeling is that the ED premium beta is VERY well received so far.

Agree. Obviously it´s not for everyone, but reading this forums and other various media channels (forums, articles comments, twitter etc) feedback has been very very positive.

Good to see mouse control working out well for you. I could not hit a barn door in combat, but you seem to have got a decent mouse!

Docking and trading was fine with a mouse and keyboard though :)
