Coaster Crazy This game is unacceptable

I am very sorry for this unfortunate happenings, Frontier, but I cannot take you any seriously more. This game is an example of crossing a line that should never be crossed!!! First of all, the fact that you release the game only on iOS is a joke. It should be on PC first, making a roller coaster on iOS is a huge pain, even with those giant useless ipad things. A mouse is always more precise and easier to use. Also its stupid that it doesn't even play in full resolution. It's 2012, "retina" is not a new thing (it never was a new thing).

Also the in app purchases and those stupid farmville elements make this game even more of a joke than it already was. Seriously??? I need to buy sandbox mode in order to do sandbox mode? I want to build coasters, not finish crappy ones and then wait 24 hours to get the money to buy sandbox mode. I have never played a coaster simulator that restricts your access to the actual building mode like this game does. This game is a huge step in the wrong direction, even more so than that air coaster thing or whatever its called. I can't take your games seriously anymore, this game is worse than thrillville.

simple: go play RC Tycoon and be happy. I'm one of those who prefer playing in the ipad.

so your logical solution is to force people who use PC to play to play an 8 year old game. instead of having hope for the next logical step in the RCT chain, they throw this crap at us and expect people to be happy about it.

Said lots of stuff

Sorry that your iPad is useless, but mine works perfectly.:p

What do you mean by full resolution? It looks great on my iPad, the graphics work well and certainly show off the retina display. And I unlocked the sandbox easily in less than an hour of playing. Yes, some of the areas have half built coasters, but these are the starting areas where you learn to play the game. Once you have done a few levels then you can build your own coasters from scratch.

Building coasters works really well, it's easy and fun too. I can get some nice precise curves and banked turns. Maybe you just need more practice? :p

I'm having a lot of fun, you go and play rct3 on the pc if that makes you happy.

I don't think comparing this to RCT is really fair. This is quite clearly designed (like many mobile games) to be a 5-10 minute distraction every now and again, and it works for that.

RCT - while still fun - is meant to play for an hour or two in a sitting. I prefer that personally, but I do acknowledge that coaster crazy is different.

I'll no doubt be playing it over christmas whilst visiting relatives!

Yeah I think the problem is in another thread Frontier said there were working on a new rollercoaster game in a thread about RCT. So the fact they've released something so far detached from the RCT series is not lying by any means but a touch deceptive if you ask me. Very very disappointing what that coaster game has turned out to be.

I enjoy playing games on iOS because I then can play it where ever my kids are at, and I don't have to have the kids stay in one single room of the house, I can simply follow them around

I have not noticed any difficulties in building coasters. In fact, on a couple area's, I have the top score even days after making them. Incidentally, my 5 yr old has no issues making coasters either. If a 5 yr old can figure it out on a "useless ipad", so should an adult like yourself.

A mouse is always more precise and easier to use

There is an undo button you know. Incidentally, playing RCT 3 and its expansions, several times I screwed up using a mouse as well.

I agree about sandbox having to be bought. That is outrageous, but honestly, beating Australia is all you need to do to unlock sandbox, so its not a pressing issue

I have never played a coaster simulator that restricts your access to the actual building mode like this game does.

I found its relatively easy to unlock most items. Right now I am at level 28 and have pretty much every single item unlocked except a couple, but at no time did I have to wait to continue due to not having the needed things for challenges(except in Sandbox mode, where I would need to go back in and squeeze the stuff I would need for sandbox challenges into existing coasters)

If you compare CC to RCT3 then yeah, perhaps I can see you calling it "crap" (although that words far to strong imo)

Compare CC to the games on the app store, then CC really shines as one of - if not the - best game avaiable.

Let's stop comparing apples and oranges eh?

When frontier said they were doing a new coaster game everyone got hyped about RCT4 and jumped to conclusions and were thus let down.
