This game just isn't worth playing at the moment

As above. I'm gonna keep my 20 quid I was going to spend on paint and go back to TF2 for a while.

There are NO skimmer missions I can find anywhere. Planetary scans are a joke with getting a bounty and not being able to clear it without a 100ly trip. Passenger missions are beyond a joke in every way, I'm not going 2000ly AND BACK for 2.55 mil, and bulk passengers now want business class cabins which can't fit them all. Wing delivery missions (I play by myself) pay a pittance, I could make more with just selling the damn things in the market. Massacre missions that pay 2.8 mil for 90 ships?!? What are you smoking? Wanna kill Thargoids? Good luck getting 10000 bounty and paying 3 times as much in repairs. IF you live.

Yes, I want a gold rush. Money. Moolah. Not to stash under my mattress but to buy in game, ie. - to play the way I want to. You know, as it was advertised? At the moment there's no chance of that, so bye for now.

Seems that way to me as well. I was just checking out gog to see what was on offer.

I think it's time Frontier added cash bundles to the store. I not ready to quit yet, but FD does need to respect people's time better than they have shown since the promises of less grind back in 2.4. I can only see this bringing more players in and more money to FD to work harder on core issues and maybe hire some better creative people who understand how games should work.

Wing delivery missions (I play by myself) pay a pittance, I could make more with just selling the damn things in the market. .

I myself have expressed my concerns about the above, but the simple fact is these are not currently balanced around 1 player but are balanced on the assumption that you play in a wing of 4. add in a magic 4x multiplier on wing missions combined with the 4x faster they are completed and suddenly the wing missions make a little more sense.

I am not a fan of it either and would much rather drop the magic boosts and just put the mission up at a fair price and let the players choose how many to split the profits with.... but that is not how FD want them it seems.

To be clear however My issue isnt with the pay of them it is with the logic of them.. I had my most fun in the game back at launch when the economy was a bit more believable. You would not have liked the pay then.... it took me 25hrs to A rate my sidey and save for an eagle. Great times.

So over all i disagree with most of your post

TLDR currently wing missions are not meant to be profitable solo, you are essentially "doing them wrong". (I hate the term but sadly it is true in this case, wing missions are NOT balanced for 1, you need the magic boosts to make worthwhile)

Normally Id just say can I haz yer stuff...but I just had to cancel several missions because they bugged and I cant complete them so Im actually not in the mood to be flippant today...think its time to log out and go walk the dogs...maybe be happier about things later ^

Slight aside, but the wing missions seem to be too many in number, at least in the stations I frequent...acting as a trader at the moment, I see multiple wing trading missions, and very few missions suitable for an individual in a T7...sometime none at all compared to 5 or 6 wing missions...surely this should be the other way around?

This was addressed yesterday morning, there do seem to be a lot less according to posts of others (I haven't logged in since 3.03 dropped yet to say for myself).

Have fun with TF2. I just re-installed it - because Linux - and it is still tons of fun. ED is different for me though, so I will keep playing it.

I think the missions in particular are in a sorry state right now.

Way too many wing missions, wing mission rewards out of alignment, removed missions due to bugs / exploits, C&P punishing players for taking on certain missions etc...

It's just a bit of a mess atm. I'm hoping FD sort this out.

Must admit, I share the OP's sentiment.

Logged in last night, looked through the mission-board, transferred some modules from my "scrap-yard" in Tionisla to help upgrade my Orca, read the forum while I waited for them to arrive, fitted the modules, looked at the passenger-board, watched a couple of Yamiks' videos, looked at the mission-board again, spotted a well-paid pirate-massacre mission, swapped to my Corvette, went back to the mission-board, realised it was a wing-mission for 104 pirates, quit to desktop.

i played last night.... there were slightly fewer but...............................

I want more mission types and complexity as much as the next person, but so long as there is a finite cap on the number available then this is going to get worse not better..... FD are essentially encouraging people to do the mode swap refresh and i will quit before feeling i have to do that (my 1 and only time i did it, it was for a player group and i almost walked away, it ruined the game for me, so i made a rule never to do it).

there are numerous ways FD could go about fixing it, i have stated my view in other threads, but what ever they do, FD need to do *something* with the mission board imo.... because like many players, missions are the reason i play now.

I STILL think over all FD are onto a good thing with ED 3.0x.... perhaps it just released when it was not fully baked.
