this game...NEEDS MORE DAKKA

seriously though, the projectile weapon on the imperial capital ship looks cool as beans (you know, the blue one...no, not THAT blue one, THAT blue one.). I wonder if we'll get an imperial variant of current projectile weapons? instead of firing cannon shells, they instead fire mini plasma charges? I dont know but anything imperial im down for. Especially if it involves more dakka
 
Well I heard through the grapevine that Fd are indeed working on a top of the line rear facing gun, it is disguised as a bulls back end and fires fecal matter at the chasers, instantly rendering the pursuer blind to their intent
 
Yes.

Also more missiles. Packhound launcher is a good start. But we need bigger missiles, and more of them. Also bombs. I want to lay down a spread of death while I buzz someone.
 
I'd enjoy some more trading countermeasures. Or even making the mines work properly so they don't teleport.
Maybe a fake decoy that makes it look like your ship has just flown behind them on the radar, if you activate silent running at the right time and deploy 2/3 of them they won't know which radar contact is you unless they can visually see you. (Think Firefly - Serenity film bit Just after Mal fights that guy in the temple)
Was thinking of some other ideas like an EMP mine or something but its not too easy to come up with viable things that won't be OP.

New powerplay modules are a nice start although some are a tad useless unless used in a very specific way.

Yeah, I think most of the gimmick powerplay stuff belongs as like an augmentation to an existing weapon st the cost of some other stats - the idea that I could give my C2 burst lasers 25% bonus damage to shields at the cost of say, nearly unmanageable heat generation is an interesting load out choice. A weird class 1 laser that I can't aim to save my life and has an effective combat range of 500 meters, regardless of what it does when it hits something, is just a gimmick.
