I just think people need to do more research if they will really like a game.
When i heard first about ED, i was hesitating to buy it because i didn't knew anything about it.
So just search google and youtube for gameplay of a game and than decide if you like the things that you see.
Watching just a trailer is useless, because it almost never shows the real ingame environment that you experience most of the time.
Also with this kind of space simulation games, you have most of the time a big learning curve. Once you master the game and dont do too risky things than it is fun and entertaining.
