I love Brian Cox (not to be confused with the great actor)
I remember watching a Royal Institution Christmas Lecture one year he did. I also like his "Wonders Of ... " series except for the last one, which I thought was boring. He is also great when Stargazing Live is on (and him with Dara is a perfect combination).

He always seems a bit "smug" to me. Personally my heroes would be the giants whose shoulders on which he stands - Darwin, Einstein, Copernicus, etc. Achievement over presentation and personality.

I know! It's not like the world-famous astrophysicist-pop-star who gets paid to jet all over the world to film minute-long scenes that explain physical phenomena has anything to be smiling about, am I right? :p

Yeah, Brian is alright.

Had he been my science teacher, I would of taken an interest in science when it contributed to my grades...
