That is not just any other "guy"! 
ObsidianAnt has a whole lot of excellent vids about Elite (among other games) and with the Rift, looking the interior of cockpits and / or exploring the galaxy. I think his elite video series is worth subscribing too!
Having said that, if you want to look at ships from the external angle take a look at this (not rift based but well worth a watch):
