This is a bit unreasonable! The disappearing ungulates of Asia!

As one of the continents with the richest ungulates, Asia has only 7 species of ungulates, while Africa has more than 20 species. European ungulates make up half of the European animals in the game.
This is obviously unreasonable, and many representative Asian ungulates should appear in the game.
This is my suggestion. How many people think the same as me?
The list is as follows：

1. Bovinae
   

2. Cervinae and Odocoileinae

   

   ​

3. Muntiacinae and Hydropotes​

   

4. Moschidae

   

5. Caprinae and Antilopinae

   

   

   ​

6. Rhinocerotidae

   

7. Eqqus

   

8. Suidae

   

I hope we get at least 5 to 7 in future DLC.​

The markhor, takin, tahr, and black buck might have reasonable chances getting in. A wild yak for example couldn’t do well in zoos as their very prone to overheating. Another problem is a lot of these aren’t very common in zoos worldwide and face competition from other highly requested and more common animals missing in the game. To my knowledge the Sumatran rhino is no longer in zoos and the Javan rhino is nonexistent in zoos. I think even the blackbuck struggles to make it in depending on upcoming packs. It would make a good anniversary animal though.

I agree more asian ungulates would be welcome. My favourites are Takin, Markhor, Reeve’s Muntjac and Japanese Serow. Blackbuck also seems to be rather popular around here.

So to input. I really want a Musk deer species. Their a really unique ungulate and also my favorite ungulate. A hoofstock with fangs is just so cool!

Besides that takin and markor are also up their so that we can get some non tropical or temperate ones.

Yes, it is true that some animals are relatively rare in zoos. But Asian deer are really a bit lacking in the game.

For Asian ungulates, I'm happy with more. Deer, the blackbuck, and some cattle. I think Asia would have the advantage of being cattle heavy while Europe and North America focus on deer and Africa on antelopes

I think the markhor (good for cover art and ZT rep), blackbuck, and Reeves's muntjac (or another Asian deer with fangs) are unique and critical additions that would bring Asian ungulates to an acceptable level.

The takin, nilgai, and wild boar are also really strong, bordering on essential.

I would also like to see a tahr and/or serow, a deer for India, and maybe an anoa.

I dont think this would be much of a problem when we already have cold blooded reptiles in game, aswell as king penguins which go belly up a soon as Temperatur goes above 20°C (i think)

I think it would be great to get some more Asian Antelopes, so I'm putting them as the first general priority. 2-3 preferably - Saiga Antelope, Blackbuck, and possibly the Nilgai would be what I'd go with. The fact we have so many African Antelopes but none from Asia is a bit crazy.

Also down for the Wild Boar of course,, as well as the Markhor and a Takin. The Himalayan Tahr looks very different from what we have so far, so I would be good with that too. I'm not really into the deer choices here, but at the same time I could see getting 1, maybe 2.

To me both the Nilgai and Blackbuck should come in an India pack. I also believe we should get the Pére David's Deer as its somewhat iconic like the Scimitar-Horned Oryx in terms of conservation and has a big story behind it.

Would personally also like to see the Lowland Anoa and Markhor at some point but they're lower down my list. I suspect Markhor will make it at something given they were in ZT2.

Agreed, Pére David’s deer is an animal that embodies the value of a “zoo”.Moreover, its living environment can fill the current vacancy. I would be happy to see it mixed with the Greater one-horned rhinoceros, Wild buffalo, Babirusa or Tapir.

Why not? They did the porcupine, which surely is the same amount of effort, if not more.
And we saw the mane of the black-and-white ruffed lemur as well as the maned wolf and the Nile lechwe

Maybe. However, we could get both. Judging how most people choose a mountain roster, many of the animals wouldn't require a lot of work. Only 1 or 2, which is doable in animal packs

How about making a prediction now, my mountain DLC list:1、Spectacled bear；2、Sichuan takin；3、Markhor；4、Wolverine；5、Pallas's Cat；6、Gelada Baboon；7、Mountain Goat/Tufted Deer.Exhibition animals：Chinese giant salamander.

Agree, but I think two would be better. I know this is a forum dominated by European and American players. Indeed, as you said, Pudu deer and Elk are probably more popular. But personally, I'd rather see a combination of Pére David’s deer and muntjak or Tufted deer.
