Im sitting in my Baluga. Ive spent hours getting the right modules, the right Engineered FSD. EVERYTHING.

Ive just flown about 200 LY away to find a nice new tourist Hotspot.

I load up my passengers make sure none of them are illegal.

I dont have the Wanted sign, so all is clear.
I proceed out of the mailslot and i get insta killed by the station. And you want to know the worst part?

I wasnt. Even. Scanned.

So now i have to fork out 8 million in rebuys!

Closed the game immedietly to go play something worth my time. What happened right here was typical Elite Dangerous, just the usual dissapointment.

This line was the closing factor of this thread. If you are "usually" disappointed, why are you still playing?

Also, the mail-slot scans you.. It's how the pick-up on illegal cargo in your hold.

I was going to ask for more details, or suggest you put in a ticket. But.. I won't bother.

Actually he's talking about the 4-5 system authority police ships that constantly circle the station entrance. Sometimes they'll scan you at random, most of the time if you speed you'll attract their attention and they'll beeline right for you. They'll even scan you on the way out.

The station itself doesn't care unless it's police ships find something.

Keeping your speed down and going silent running to reduce your signature so the police can't see you is how you get in and out undetected.

@CMDR Elegon Well perhaps the issue is so unusual they are not expected to capture it right away as it all occurred within less then probably 5 seconds of leaving the station.

The Beluga is huge and has a lot of mass. If you were speeding and popped a sidewinder or something than.....the station kills you.
Have you checked this? It is still a thing that griefers do regulary

Stations don't kill you for no reason. You probably splattered an NPC going out, or maybe had a dormant bounty or something in the system. Or maybe you made an error, and one of your passengers was illegal.

There are things like Shadowplay or OBS that record the last 10 minutes or so quietly in the background. If and when something happens, you simply hit a button and these 10 minutes of video are saved for you. Immensely useful if you need to report something or make people understand what the issue is in the first place.

Same thing happened to me... twice. Tourism isn't likely to recoup that 17million credit loss at that rate. Has to be a bug. Think maybe I'll put the passenger missions on hold and fly something with a little lower insurance cost for a bit.

You not serious are you? Are you seriously trying to say that anyone with an issue ever must have their games recorded at all times just to satisfy that one split second

I thought it's typical Elite Dangerous? What's funny is that this stuff never happens to me (every time I boost inside the station wall I know that I am at fault). If it's that usual, maybe it's you and not the game?

I agree with the "hit an NPC on the way out" theory. Could also have been a griefer in an eagle, if he played in Open.

Concerning video evidence and shadowplay - not everyone can afford even the small loss of performance for turning it on.

OP can't provide a video / description is very cryptic / haven't heard of a similar issue / apparently stuff like this happens all the time to him but to no one else... Yes, I think he is serious and not daft at all.

Did you possibly hit a ship on your way out? That is a big ship and if you were going over 100 and hit a ship you may hav killed it by mistake

I don't understand why People are hating on this thread.. I had the exact same issue a year and a half back.. I had nothing illegal carrying With me on my T6 at that time.. I was entering Deadalus station, closing in on my landing pad.. Suddenly I was instantly killed by the station..

This bug is real. And FD doesn't seem to care about it, since the bug is VERY rare.. I raised a ticket, but they never did anything about it.
