this is about the future of planet coaster I am curious.

Is planet coaster going to be supporting ray tracing and muilti thread cores and also Ray tracing. the development of games are becoming next gen. so are you guys going to follow. that will also stop the bottle necking issues as well. or are you guys still going to be based off the 2009 directx11 which is almost ten years old.

with each cpu and gpu being released from this point on is not fully supported on directx11 yes it plays it but it is fully bottle necked.
So I am curious if planet coaster is just going to be a stand alone or will there be another planet coaster 2 and if so will it be for the future. only reason why I even posted this is cause I love planet coaster it is awesome but yet there is so many big name title games that have so much more stuff in it and yet it does not bottleneck but it is also directx12 . I am not saying anything bad about frontier or planet coaster I am just in the mere of wondering is the bottle necking going to get fixed. if not changing the directx11 how do you plan on fixing the bottle necking between cpu and gpu.

This has been discussed over and over and over.
Frontier won't answer your question.

So the answer is probably not or maybe.

well that completely sucks.
and very sad.

Do you have Win10?

A lot of users don't so, for the biggest group of people the game is trying to appeal to, it won't be of any use of having dx12 because that only works with Win10, and a lot of people still run Win7 & Win8.

I would like to see it as well though, because It could help improve performance.

As far as I'm concerned it would be nice to have DX12 support but as Luuknoord has said only Windows 10 supports it.

This means that those who haven't got Windows 10 will either be unable to play the game or will be limited to DX11.

Personally I can't see Frontier doing something that will limit their possible user base or causing problems down the line.

I get it but most the people will be updating windows if they want to play the most upcoming games of 2019 and beyond, even the CEO of Microsoft stated that they will not be supporting directx11 no more due to the fact that they do not have the function of future gaming gens for consoles and computers. I am just talking about more or less its just why make people use high end hardware when the game can not use it. I am also point that out there. and you can not tell me that it does use the hardware to its fullest I have benchmarks and a few other gamer's also have bench marks that stats as well the cpu bottlenecks the Gpu every single time, due to the fact that it can not be used to its fullest so what is your suggestion to that. with out limiting guests or scenery amount?[shocked]

But I would love to see people go buy a windows 7 and 8 brand new computer not from pawn stores or flea markets. lmao

It's well known about DirectX 11 and the way it uses hardware. There are likely to be several that do not want to upgrade to Windows 10 for various reasons though including the way it handles updates, the telemetry systems and incompatibilities for older hardware that some have. Whether Frontier consider it for a possible sequel if one ever gets made is a different story though.

At the moment there isn't much that can be done other than the two methods you mention or possibly a faster CPU.
