So basicly i dont really get why there is a pretty low limit on material count. there is an awful lot of them (which is a good thing) so ....
I'd remove the limit and add a new modul type in which you could store materials with that comes the problem of not having enough place for cargo rack (limpets) and these new module. So i'd rather just modify cargor rack so they can be used to store materials and commodities as well eg every 20th material will weigh 1 t. I'd be ok if this meant that you lost all materials if u died. To address that there could be storage system in the stations for a weekly fee.
Overall I really like 2.1 you really put the dangerous into elite with the new ai
