A guy doing nothing in a Training Scenario... crashing his ship while doing nothing... and getting to his NAV tutorial destinaion for repairs (?)

Not quite advertising material - just a good example not to use the limited FA off all the time ;)

PS.
What's with that ugly green HUD colors ?

Your appreciation of poetic beauty is inspiring :D

I'm assuming you didn't notice how everything was perfectly timed with the music? That's what makes this video. I suggest you watch it again, with sound this time. ;)

That was amazingly entertaining.

I laughed out loud when you were assigned landing pad THIRTEEN. The universe was really trying hard there.

i like the addition to SOME of the prompts, and think some of them should be there full time (like the objective completed one, and status ones) but adding the others to a proper tutorial would be great.

if they were always there all the time, as often as they come up in the vid, i would go nuts ;)

or let me toggle them all on/off just like the ships voice

otherwise nice vid

"THIS is how you market Elite: Dangerous!"

What do you mean?

Blowing the entire production budget on hiring Hans Zimmer to score the music?

:D

Nice video though! :)

To be honest I think there is actually a "plan/hope" from FDs side that this kind of marketing will happen by itself with precisely these type of videos by actual players. They shouldn't sit on their hands doing nothing of course, but letting the game speak for itself and real players push it out there is always a better approach in the long run rather than having material produced by a PR department.

I did and noted the pseudo-forte action-related Music score...
Frankly... I didn't like it, as what happened on the Screen didn't match the music (all staged and nonsensical). But then, I'm someone who has tested/played this game for over 6 months now.

I'd have preferred such music to real, authentic action - not a staged training setup FA off crash.

There are some nice Vids out there that had real content (with real, live action).

I liked it, but then I'm someone who has tested/played this game for over a year now. :p

I did wonder why the green HUD and fuzzy image quality, realised it was an Oculus vid, about halfway thru (doh!)
