It's been raining, and now it's cold! I'll get back on it when the weather kicks back up
Sounds like the typical homeowner job
I took a week off for the new year holiday, but was back at it today. First call of 2018 was a fellow begging me to come look at one of his rental units, which apparently had a terrible leak in the roof. He said he was "catching water in plastic totes and buckets" which I thought was a little unusual given the fact that it's currently -16F in Helena and there's about three feet of snow on peoples' roofs. Sure enough, I get there and find a parapet style "flat roof" with a rubber membrane and about 12 inches of standing, slushy water under an ice dam sitting on top of it. Water was indeed flooding inside at an alarming rate. Took me about 5 hours of hard labor crawling around on my hands and knees in it to get it all sorted out. The year can only get better from here...right?
