The April update brought more bugs and glitches than anything but it seems it also brought more cheaters and hackers as well.

This is unacceptable Frontier, I and many other like me have put a lot of time an money into this franchise and we expect better from you.

Fix this hacking issue along with your broken update before the majority of your veteran players stop playing. I haven't logged in since the last update because the game is unplayable at this point.

I better not be muted or banned for pointing out this problem.

Update: I have been silenced by the moderators. I've uninstalled and will not be playing anymore after seeing that the majority of this community are Anti PVP and completely illogical. The developers and mods clearly side only with PVE carebears and are ruining the game for the rest of us who enjoy playing dangerously in open and enjoy a good fight, not all of us are griefers but the majority who do grief do it because of the type of displayed on this thread. Might as well remove all forms of combat within the game since you all simply want to space truck and explore. I'm done dealing with dumb forum daddies who band together to silence any criticism towards this game and ignore real issues. this garbage forum and the pathetic power tripping morons who run it. I'm out.

I really don't care, Players who cheat and ruin the games for others deserve to be named and shamed. Get with the program.

I care about cheating too, just not in a way that breaks the rules of the forum I'm posting on. Wait for the patch imo.

Would you quit side tracking the main issue?! I haven't named anyone in this forum directly. The names are in another forum which allow it when concrete proof is provided. Again, get with the program.

for my own curiosity, how does showing a video of this fight and including a screenshot of a cheat program show your opponent is cheating? how do you know about these cheat programs or that this person you fought is using them? how do you know that this is the program that person is using?
Granted I don't play open or do pvp, know nothing of any third party programs that would cheat the system and wouldn't even know where to look for them. I've also never looked for them.

Just look at the footage it's clear as day. A fighter cannot take that many shots of fully engineered pack hounds and his own shields havent budged one bit. I dont have a weak ship. I'm not the only person to come across these cheaters recently. These hacks have been pointed out to me by community members that also want this resolved, plain n simple. You shouldn't even bother questioning me if you play solo. This clearly doesn't concern you.

I watched the video just now and I'm not clear on what the OP thought was cheating. It looks like the Krait was flying a missile boat (rapid fire Seekers, maybe?). The shields were really strong, but they could've had a lot of Guardian Shield Boosters running 4-2-0 that entire fight.

You got this post in just before mine. What do you think about what I just said above? The evidence you provided doesn't convince me it's cheating right now.

Its pretty easy to tell when someone is cheating any pvper knows how shields are gonna react whe you shoot them, and a fighter with 30 shields and 10 armour isnt gonna take a barrage of hounds and keep its shields. I cant second the original topic enough im not putting any more time or money into a game i have to reload binds every time i get on and reset priorities every time i drop from sc.

If you think someone is cheating, simply report them in game, so the devs can take a look into it.

Not saying this is the case here, but I've seen so many accusations and they virtually always turn out to be false accusations by noobs vs. skilled players, because they simply don't understand the game mechanics.

just a couple of points. I bothered to read that forum thread you posted with the program on it.
a: its 2016 by the time stamp when that was posted.
b: reading further into the thread I found both that the thread had been closed also in 2016 and no further updates to that program had been issued
c: every thread response from page 2 on stated the program no longer worked at all.
d: posting in a public forum tends to get a public response, my questions are as valid as anyone elses and while I may not play pvp or open now this does not imply that I will not at some point in the future

Not too long ago we saw an Anaconda going faster than a FDL and smoking people in moments. Now you've got someone who went to the trouble of hacking their Guardian SLF for slightly better shields?

I think I see what's going on here.

13th Legion pilot can't kill a SLF as fast as they'd like. Declares hacks. Mission accomplished!

A few takeaways from the video:

1) You were using the worst weapons against shields possible (Pack-hounds and gimballed multis). Even against an SLF you aren't going to get great results.

2) You were frequently firing from both a long ways away and against a chaffing ship. This reduces your DPS to almost nothing.

3) Your opponent is clearly shield tanking using Prismatics. Their outer ring was slowly fading under sustained multicannon fire in the way that one would expect. Hacked builds don't do this.

4) Your Anaconda is quite squishy, but even then wasn't taking the insta-death DPS of hacked weapons.

Conclusions:

1) No evidence of hacking.

2) You need to git gud and stop whining.
