Blockading of a system isn't new. Blockading a CG system isn't either. But this is a newcomer system for cryin out loud.

FDEV, you're killing Open play every second harsher penalties and buffed cops are delayed.

But I supposed I should thank SDC for highlighting the game's issues for more exposure to the developers. So thanks.

Any newcomer can jump away like anyone else. There isn't any specific newcomer content there in any way. Yes, its lame, yes, appropriate C&P would be fun. But no, this dramaqueeny 'OMG Open is surely dying!!!!!!!' stuff is equally annoying.

Ok, I don't have much faith in Fdev fixing things, so we can't stop the greifing, but.....

We can stop the lockdowns. If enough people bounty hunt in solo, the lockdowns will end and people can actually use those stations. Hopefully, SDC and their cohorts will go into a fit of rage for us bypassing their "protection services", in the most underhand way possible, and we can all sit back and enjoy the show.

Side note: yes, we could also all go over their in open and kill them repeatedly, but that's much harder than it sounds with their ability to co-ordinate and pick us off one by one. Also wouldn't be as funny as the above.

I mean, surely the galaxy and even the bubble is big enough for groups to RP however they want? It may be disruptive and may disproportionately impact new players, but there is some creativity there and I'm not really in a position to determine how anyone else should play the game.

Well. Even very pvp oriented online games have bans for killing new players in newbie systems. I hope Fdev will go the same way. That's just lame and is bad for all the involved sides, including the gankers.

It did, some of the PVP commanders(no name, they know who they are and which group) decided to troll Mobius, fortunately once banned, the only way back in is with a new account, so yes, relative to open, it's very safe.

Heh, very unlikely this will affect new players much. When I first started the game I took missions and jumped away without knowing what I was doing, and I never went back. I didn't even realise there were multiple stations in my starting system until the recent CGs at the starter systems!

Its all very meh. About what, twenty or so people got griefed in mobius in three years? So its really nothing. Except people screamed and yelled and cried very very hard. "A friend of mine saw on reddit a link to a post of someone who got shot in Mobius!!!!! I will never play again!!!!". Which was all the griefers were after anyway. Open is pretty darn safe as well, been poodling around Maia for weeks now in small ships and not a single incident.

Its a big galaxy filled with extremely loud moaning.

But i guess they want to play in pg and solo in order to play the game the way they want to do. I've said this in the reddit post too. All a PvPer wants is a fight. Give it to them. Stand up to your oppressors. Start bounty hunting players.

If you actually read the reddit thread, you'd see someone pointed they still use God rolled ships. Plus, they are co-coordinated, we are not. In all likelihood they'd either run or just kill us if we tried to stop them.

Unless, maybe, if your so confident, you could set up a group to fight the gankers....hmmmm.....

Go ruin new players' fun in open. (people who can barely land their sidewinder, let alone they actually know what mobius is)
New players don't stick around.
Complain you don't meet many people in open anymore.
