This must be a bug

I recently regrasado of an expedition of 7 months and once sold see something strange data, 927,120 scans Level 3.

The average between systems is too high, if you've spent hours at it, but it does not seem reasonable.

A greeting.

Yes, I think they broke this in one of the 2.0.x releases. I saw an unrealistic increase in this stat after Distant Worlds, around 10,000, when I probably scanned fewer than 1000 bodies. And Allitnil mentioned somewhere that he saw a huge and impossible increase too.

Several of the stats are wrong or suspect. It's odd that FD can simulate an entire galaxy but can't add up numbers correctly.

I never understood what those levels are.

Someone at FD (Michael?) once said the levels corresponded to honk, surface scan, and surface scan with DSS, but I don't know why they can't use terminology that is consistent with the rest of the game.

These stats have been bugged from the moment they were introduced. They never managed to get the historic levels right but for a while at least they were at least increasing correctly until Horizons. I got something like a 600,000 increase in L3 scans from DWE when the correct figure would likely have been somewhere between 20,000 and 25,000.

Perhaps it counts everything you have scanned with the ADS, rather than just the number of times the ADS-Honk has...er, honked?

So, 20 ADS Honks with an average of ten items per scan = a count of 200.

Just occurred to me. Probably wrong but just a thought.

Flying happy
