solo isn't a guarantee you won't be ganged up on, I dropped in a strong signal source and found gold!
Well, knowing that NPC pirates laid a trap I decided to be a smart a $$ and destroy the canisters by running them over and shooting them 3 pirates of unknown type opened a can of whoop on my ship, I lit the shield booster and they still took it down faster then it could help, luckily I should have lost but I put shield boosters, shield (that other shield thingy), I put frame hardeners on, and military grade armor and they tore my ship in half in seconds, however I did survive with like 23% armor but a badly damaged everything else, I was lucky I could boost nearly indefinitely as I set it up this way, however I could not frame shift because the module was damaged, luckily after about 1 min of boosting it came back online and I got away.
Moral of the story, don't go visiting stong signal sources unless you want you backside handed to you, I survived but I was prepared for combat because I was expecting something else in a mission and I got lucky...this new AI and tougher pirates may not be as clever as a human but man they can mess you up.
