Parks This project has not a name yet (Coaster;Ride)

Hey guys,

Today i want to show you a project I worked on for a very long time and I think, regarding to my current motivation and time management, it will need another very long period to be finished.

I do have a small idea of the theming and the story I want to give the park and the coaster but it is too early to give any hints. I started by building some small houses and doing some experiments with fake rocks which ended up in a very small medival village with a Roller Coaster and a ride.

It would be great if you can give some feedback or tips about what is already given and what I could add next.

I like the overall look and the compactness of this, but the oval pillars just don't seem to fit the style or the theme??? You should swap those out for built up rocks or something. Just want you to be able to make it better or am i missing something here?

I agree with wowman. The art shapes are not really working here. Maybe try experimenting with them a bit more by using smaller ones and turning them in different directions. or like wowman suggests, add some real rocks. I really like your buildings and the lay out of the entire thing. And you got some amazing details, like the cranes and the hanging mine carts. I love the klugheim inspirations. Looking forward to see this finished some day. And take your time, there's is a lot of potential for a really epic project here (if it isn't already). Very impressive start!

Thank you very much for your help. I think I will try to experiment a bit more with some artifactical rocks and stuff and keep you updated. You are right. The "rocks" like they are now are a bit more of a placeholder than rocks. Compared to the rest of the village they are missing a bit of detail. I will rethink my system.

Thanks Coastercad for the motivating words <3.

This is looking very Klugheim/Taron-like so massive thumbs up from me. It looks really beautiful and densely themed.

If you're trying to get the granite stacks formations like on that ride, Try using the Thick Wooden Beam piece coloured a darkish bluish grey. If you put it at an angle and use the Advanced Move/Copy feature, you can make the shapes and stack them and move them to get the formations. Or for bigger pieces, you can use the art shape Cuboid (extra small) and use that. That's what I used for my ride, The Gateway Project, for the crystals, and it worked pretty well. I don't want to spam your thread with my pics but here's a link to a picture if you want to have a look. Just scroll down this post a teeny bit. :) https://forums.planetcoaster.com/showthread.php/29114-Lake-Euphoria?p=208867&viewfull=1#post208867

Can't wait to see how this develops It's looking so good so far.
