This secret orbital station is only visible for a fraction of a second

if this is a bug, its one of the cool ones. Only a couple of weeks ago a station was tumbling out of control which made it nearly impossible to dock at. Then they "fixed" it.

Very nice. Wish I could find something like this.

This generally happens when the installation is in the frame of reference of some nearby rings, but far enough from them that you aren't, so it rotates away from you with the rings.

If you report it through the issue tracker with the name and system of the installation, Frontier generally fix these within a week by moving the installation closer to the rings.

Yembo system

Secret canyon holdings.

I've not dropped into it for ages so it may have been fixed. I haven't reported it though so maybe not.

You may scan this object for further information

By the time this message pops out said object is already 300 km away. Normally it wouldn't be any problem but it's ED where advanced military grade scanners have power of a LED flashlight.

All stations are moving. They are all orbiting something. I think the bug is it not letting you move relative to it.

Aye - your fixed point of reference when dropping out isn't the same as the station, so your computer is dropping you out at the wrong speed. You're relative to a nearby large body whilst it is relative to another. Similar to trying to catch mitterand hollow.

Heh, I was gonna mention something related to this last night, but I forgot.

Went to dock at a platform, in my Python - which has a DC.
Auto-docking started and I got up to make coffee (yeah, I know) and potter about.
Got back and my Python's just floating about in "deep space".

Eh?

Into SC, turn around, out of SC, request docking, throttle to zero.
This time I sit and watch as my Python desperately trundles along, chasing the disappearing platform, for about 5 minutes and then finally gives up.
