Beta-1 Tucanae

  • High Tech System
  • Empire Space
  • A rare Class B star that emanates a luminous blue-white light
  • Y Class brown dwarf in the center of multiple RES sites for bounty hunting

I just outfitted and purchased my Vulture with all necessary upgrades, they also sell the Clipper.

This is where I set up shop for the time being as well. I bought my Vulture there and have been bounty hunting ever since. Good area.

As soon as I saw the main star you got me hooked. All the efficiency in the world doesn't beat coming back to a beauty like that. I'd stick to it even if the station was agricultural.

Being empire oriented is a minus, but there is an independent democratic faction to work towards power.

Yeah! That B Class Star is beauty defined, I can't stop looking at it.

It's also visible from the RES site.

It also has the advantage of keeping the RES lit up longer than many systems as well. I can't think of the last time I was flying on the dark side there, if I ever did at all. The RES are positioned at just the right angle to take advantage of both stars.

Sod off out of my system. Its mine....not yours. Any other commander in my system will be treated to a blast of raspberries on the local.

Play nice! We are "Empire" family.

Feel free to engage me though, I'm sure we can sort things out that way :)

first rule of the competent player...

NEVER reveal your Area of Operation

Depends on what mode(s) you play in.

I play in Mobius and another private group, so telling people where I hunt is not an issue for me, as I'll never see most of them :p
And those I do see, are normally nice and will team up for shared bounties and a few laughs.

I've also been known to share trade routes as well, but only with a few people - not on the open forums ;)
When I see people who are struggling to get started or have had there normal areas posted on tools - then they dried up, I'll pm with one or two of my back up areas to tide them over.

Nothing wrong with being nice and sharing information - it's a game, not a real life apocalypse :p

Hmm might go here. nearly been run out of my RES cluster by one faction that gives me n missions and only want's to pirate the other factions.

I looked at that system during the recent CG.

The only concern I had there was the lack of any platform to run to in the event of a friendly-fire-immediate-bounty "incident".

As I recall there is only a coriolis. Correct this if it's wrong!

This is true. And it's quite far away from the arrival point. (but not TOO far)

It also doesn't support a black market.

That's the only downsides I can think of the system. At least for players who aren't dedicated to Federation/Alliance.
