This wont last, but is fun whilst it does.

So maybe this should go into the beta forum but I though I would share it here.
In 2.1Beta you are able to bypass the 1000ly cap on the plotter by setting a bookmark as your destination and plotting to that.
Takes some time but is fun to play with for now - 696 jumps to sagA* in my conda but would crash when trying Beagle point.

Maybe it is limited to prevent a relatively high risk of crashes?

We do not tell this to anyone, with a bit of luck it will make it into the release. :x
 
Now if only the route could be exported then I guess that it would be the optimal buckyball plot - at least for someone with the same load out.
Maybe someone should try a beta record attempt?.

No more magic numbers? Oh, the possibilities!
Edit: I hope they keep it like this. Maybe they should put in a warning when trying to plot longer distances, but let us risk it! Pleeeaaaase? :D
