Thoughts on JWE Giga vs Dominion Preview Giga

I'll try to keep this spoiler free (not much to spoil anyway) and just describe the Giga, not what happens.

My only gripe with the JWE1 Giga (after the size issue was fixed) was how its eyes made it look a bit silly: like the boar's head worn by Inosuke in Demon Slayer. The new Giga in the Dominion Preview has menacing eyes that focus forward; in fact it generally looks way cooler. But that, unfortunately is also a bit of a problem in my opinion: they went 'too cool.' The Dominion Giga, especially the "authentic" version seen 65mya in the Preview, looks more like the Hypo Giga from The Isle than the comparatively muted interpretation presented by JWE1 (which I currently prefer). Maybe the JW Giga will grow on me, but my initial reaction is mixed.

I still haven't seen what the Jurassic World Dominion Giga will be like. I like the JWE look, especially the null palette. My concern with the movie is to make him more a monster like JP3's Spinosaurus or worse, make him look more like the Giga of Dino Crisis 2... I hate this concept of the evil dinosaur species.

I was first introduced to the Giga through Chased by Dinosaurs and then later, Primeval (even though the Primeval one is kinda lame.) I've heard this version referred to as Gen1. I realise the JWE giga was more accurate but it looked odd to me because of this. I think the Dominion giga is based on the Gen1 interpretation of the fossils.

I'd post a screenshot, but that may be spoiler-ish, so I'm just going to say Dominion Giganotosaurus looks like it escaped from a Dungeons & Dragons monster manual.
