Thoughts on prolonging game life

Not that ED is dying, far from it - it sounds like this is just the beginning and things are steadily climbing in terms of content, patches and updates. However, as players and a community, what sorts of things would keep you coming back for more and thus prolonging ED's shelf life?

For me, it would be more and more player interactions with stations, other players, and NPCs. The idea of there being chatter on comms, radios, news, adverts, buyers and sellers, sleeper cell spies and all that buzzing around our eyes and ears. If and when we get to dock and explore stations, finding there to be a bevy of activity over these comms and boards, and maybe bumping into other players are more popular stations. I want to note that I am not looking for this to become an MMO hub but more of a pit stop activity that gives you pause and may be some sense of meaning and scale when you head back out into the black. A space pub here, a galactic news monitor or charts displayed showing traffic patterns etc.

In space, the ability to use that dang comm way more and in effective ways between players and NPS alike would, for me, blow this well into full immersive awesomeness.

I am very interested in what other members think about what brings them here, and will keep them coming back. Thank you for your time!

If FD can deliver *HALF* of what is in the DDA, I won't need another games during the ten next years, and I would gladly spend more $$$ on the game.
Will they deliver even a quarter of it ? Time will tell.
