thoughts on rare/difficult CG items having their contribution scaled please...

I posted in the main forum: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showt...items-having-their-contribution-scaled-please but was suggested I post here...

Copy/Paste: The last and now latest CGs call for Thargoid items, and commodities. Now I did 15 trips in my cutter and made top 10% with explosives, while another commander making 30 trips each taking longer than one of mine, but actually bringing the alien goods, would probably still only be in the top 100%. It isn't really fair to them and discourages contributions from those with small ships or that want to play rather than grind. Could a 10 to 1 or even 100 to one ratio work do you think? e.g. one (1) thargoid tissue sample would then be worth 100tons of a commodity. Seems fair to me...

The issue has been raised in the CG threads (both here and reddit) and I tend to agree. The CG being based purely on tonnes is nothing short of a massive oversight.

If you're going to copy paste, either use the [quote ] markup, or use a colour that works with all the themes. Seriously, it's damn hard to read dark grey on black.

As for the topic - I agree. Why are man made explosives even part of a CG?

I, personally, think that a cool CG would have been to haul corrosive alien goodies 500LY. Now, that would be interesting... Seeing as anti-corrosive racks are fairly limited, people wanting to carry huge tonnages would need to be fast, or lose their ship (and cargo) in the process. Now that would be a fun CG!
