I grow weary of this.
What exactly do the "Threat Levels" on signals mean?
I go into a Threat Level 1 signal, I get jumped by about 8 ships. I go into a Threat Level 2 signal, I get jumped by around 20 ships. In each case, there's almost guaranteed to be at least one, usually more, Anaconda. There's just no way to survive 8-1 odds, let alone 20-1. I've tried all the types, too. Distress Calls, Convoys, Non-Human. Ironically, the Non-Human ones seem to be the only ones worth looking into, because the Thargoids don't generally attack me. If they did, of course, I'd be unable to defend myself because I don't have all the magic weapons and gear apparently necessary to have any ability to do so.
The whole business leaves me feeling frustrated and weary, because I would LOVE to be investigating these things, but there's NO POINT even trying because I know I'll be completely overmatched no matter what the "Threat Level" says.
So... is this an aberration, or are the Threat Levels supposed to mean something?
If they ARE, then the difficulty of these things needs to be reevaluated.
Ideally, I would love to see some kind of scanning "game" where you can get some sense of what is there BEFORE you drop down. Even if it was just a matter of having a sense of how many ships are there, that might be enough. Whatever it is, we need something... at the very least some consistency.
