I don't know, I tend to agree with you but there MUST be a limit somewhere ?
Otherwise, would you be OK with polygamy ? Would you be OK if adults married 15 year old girls ?
As long as it is consented of course. After all it is all about free will isn't it ?

Why stop at three though? If 2 isn't going to be enough then just making 3 legal is arbitary and makes no sense let's have no limit like others have said......also why be species-ist and only allow humans to marry humans? It's Discrimination damnit!!

Well technically yes, but we as a society, somewhere else on the planet they got different rules, decided that you must be 18 to make a decision like engaging in a married.
So that sets the limit. Honestly if someone want 10 wives, I certainly don't, and the women agree with it, I'm good, not my problem, not going to judge it.
The problem is when is it free will, and when is it "forced"?

Did you know that in Japan, many years ago, wives was give a new husband if her husband died. he actually took over the whole package, wives and kids.
Now we would find it horrible, but to them it was natural.
