Three Ship Hangar

Similar to the old "your dream three car garage" thread that appears on car forums, if you were limited to only 3 ships which 3 would you choose? I know some would find this easy but I figure others, myself included, is gonna have to think long and hard about which ships would need to be culled.

1/ Anaconda. My flagship. Lovingly crafted with G5 everything, custom paint job and ship-kit. Mostly fitted for combat but can do most of everything.

2/ Python. I wouldn't call it love, the same as a painter & decorator isn't going to love his van or pickup truck but it's indispensible. Can't imagine Elite life without it. I know the Annie could do most of it but the medium pad access and the fact that my Anaconda is mostly fitted for combat means the Python will remain as my 200t hauler with teeth.

3/ FAS. Zoom zoom swoop pew pew. I love shooting stuff in this ship. Shields are paper thin but it still takes a battering. While the Anaconda can farm a haz res all day long, in this I pile in there, wreak havoc and then emerge a short while later, battered, canopy cracked, bleeding from the nose but grinning ear to ear.

The ships regretfully culled: FDL, Cobra, DBX & Vulture. Would miss em all dearly!

My alt only has 3 ships:

1. Orca - The runabout and the explorer. 42LY range and boosts to 520m/s. I LOVE this ship! So much fun!

2. Fer-de-Lance - Combat (obvs)

3. Anaconda - Heavy trader / (retired) bulk passenger bus.

Having hit Elite in Trade, I'm now en-route to Beagle Point in the Orca. The goal is to sell all my data at Colonia, hopefully hit Elite in Exploration and then ship the rest of the "fleet" out there to work on my Combat rank.

Cutter - mining, trading, passenger missions
Corvette - fun and combat
AspX - ship for outpost missions, exploration

Frankly I would really like a 4th for a Python (which oddly I don't own yet) as the AspX is best for exploration.

Anaconda (for everything)
SLF (for support in combat, and for the lulz in some canyon 15kly from sol)
DBx (bubble taxi, mat farmer, outpost lander)

1. Anaconda, its my general runabout, mining, mission running, trading, and multi crew bounty hunting
2. FDL with out a doubt, average price, fast, decently agile, strong shields, and high dps make it, in my opinion, the best combat ship in the game.
3. DBX, its my material gathring ship, explorer and planet scouter

1. Cutter: It can do anything, and looks great doing it.

2. Corvette: I like military sci-fi, and this is the one ship that makes me really feel like a warship captain. Or, er, helmsman.

3. Python: Because Python.

Today mine would be:

1 - Anaconda. Can do most anything

2 - Python. Can do most anything and lands at medium pads.

3 - DBX. Long jump range.

If I had a forth it would be my Vulture for Combat ;-)

#1 Viper Mk 4 - simply because this ship saved my back side when it was all I could afford. In my opinion, it is hands down the best looking of the small ships.
#2 Python - can do most everything and still keep it's teeth.
#3 still looking (I can't afford the Anaconda or any of the high-end ships yet and don't have any of the fancy ships unlocked.

If there was a ship that I could put my #1 and #2 inside with enough room left over to go into the deep dark black for months on end without worry, then that would be my #3 simply so I could take #1 and #2 with me wherever I go.

Hmm, that's interesting...as seen, most of course pick the conda, but I've switched to the T10 for the view. Got tired of looking over the bow of the ship so...

1. T-10...Engineered with a decent jump range so I could head out into the black and see most of the sights well from that cockpit but usually PEW PEW in her plus she reminds me of my favorite ship, my Aspx. Love the drift and I could park her IN a sun and she not burn up. Such a cool running ship.

2. Python...Like said before, Python because Python. Does just about everything on medium pads

3. AspX...My FedEX ship when I absolutely, positively, have to get across the galaxy in a hurry. Still my favorite ship.

1. Cutter

2. SLF

3. I’ve been messing around with the Chieftain in Beta, it’s nice, but, no ship compares to my Cutter. I’ve owned every ship in the game, and keep coming back to it. I do love the look of the FDL.

1.- Clipper

2.- Cutter

3.- ??????

A while back when I restarted a savegame (which I used to do a lot), I did an Imperial ships only playthrough — only started buying other ships once I had too many credits and started getting bored.
I guess I could throw in the Courier as the third ship, but honestly I don't fly it that much.

1) Viper mk3
2) iCourier
3) Eagle

I need an iCourier raider kit! They look best on small ships and I dig the rusted imp look.

The Dolphin

The Orca

The Beluga.

No thought required. These three ships can do any and everything. The Dolphin is an exceptional jumper, and a flawless Exploration craft.

The Orca is an amazing all-purpose ship, with good hardpoints, good convergence, and is both fast and tough.

The Beluga is a beast - stock with the largest fuel tank in the game, 5 medium hardpoints, and more maneuverability than the Python.

All of the Saud Kruger line have unparalleled performance, though the Chieftain might just give them a run for their money!

I would probably have to say Python, FAS and AspX, though I would really miss my DBX. I have an FDL but I think the FAS is more fun to fly in combat.

1. Python: Its the ultimate Swiss Army Knife ship.

2. FAS: Pure Zoom and Boom.

3. Asp X: Ultimate exploration ship.

I have more than 3 ships, so I'll not mention my miner and other specific role ships.

1. Imperial Clipper - Multi-purpose and general run about. Fast, agile, +30ly jump range and lots of optional slots.
2. ASP Explorer - Exploration ship.
3. Imperial Cutter - Trading ship.

I wish I was English like my hero Tj.
Currently my three would be:

Python. My workhorse and jack of all trades.
AspX. For when I want to get from A to B in a hurry, or try my hand at exploration again even though I don't like it much. ;)
Chieftain. Because it rocks.
