Throttle conundrum

Hi Commanders
Has anyone come across throttle problems recently...Have FD fiddled with the throttle ranges on ships? I have not had to even look at my HOTAS bindings in an absolute age but now..... When in super cruise, my CH throttle just will not go past the middle of the blue range. I have had to bind a button for 100% throttle which works to boost the throttle (out past the mid-blue range) achievable in super cruise. (When triggering super cruise after the initial launch..i.e. the second jump in a journey, it just sits there saying "Increase Throttle to Engage" and this with the throttle slammed forward against the max stop!!)

I have been away from ED for two weeks and on return have noticed this anomaly! Also the gravity wells/effects seem to have been jiggered with in my absence...am I imagining this/these? It almost feels like my 6 ships are a new fleet, handling (at least regarding max throttle and gravity wells) like totally different ships????

Might be a good idea to rule out a hardware problem. The CH throttle is well known for developing loose terminals. Easy enough to fix if that's the culprit at least.

It's a CH issue. Just calibrate the throttle using the CH software. You should probably do this every other month anyway, as I notice mine tends to drift after a while. I usually have to run the calibration two or three times for it to be "right".

Thanks Commanders
Truth to tell, I don't even have the CH software installed...never needed it...I'd better remedy that now! Thanks for the input! Rep all round.

No worries - put the effort in to make sure it's right, especially the thumb stick (if you use it for lateral thrust), well worth it.

Seconding this. It can take a bit of fiddling (and a decent helping of deadzone) to get the thumb stick working well, but it's so nice to use for lateral thrust once you do.
