Throttle not working when joystick is released.

In that case:
  • unbind throttle axis
  • bind "increase throttle" to stick push forwards (stick will be treated as digital input in that case - playing with the deadzone migth improve handling somewhat)
  • bind "decrease throttle" to stick push backwards
  • set increments to whatever you like ("continuous" is proabably a good choice)

That basically mimics the default (IIRC) behaviour of the XBox controller, where right trigger is increase throttle, left trigger is decrease throttle (and no trigger is stay at that speed - if you fly FA on). Don't worry about "as intended" - the controls in ED are intended to be as variable as possible to match your specific setup and preferences.

And just in case you want to play around with the settings a bit more: read Strontium Dog's pinned thread (right at the top of this subforum) with respect to (re-) naming your bindings and backing them up.
I will give it a try as soon I get a chance!

after you have things sorted with your throttle behaviour I suggest you follow the lost your binds?
guide stickied to the top of this pc subforum on why they can become corrupted and what you can do to back up and prevent it
once a throttle axsis is bound weather reg or inverted only that(full range or forward only) and the increments settings ie continuous etc should effect the throttle behaviour so try different combos to get it back how it was so once out of a station and in space play around for cause and effect and what suits you sir! ;)

Will do! I actually saved some of my old binds. Now, I will know what to do with them.
