I think I've finally got all the formula calculations I need for thrusters. I am not yet releasing the formula because I am missing some data. I don't have enough money for some of the ships in game, and certainly don't have enough time to do the testing needed on every hull. Thus this simple form.

If you want to help even more, and have a little time, please see this thread in the general forum. What I need is for you to make a hauler and submit as many different values for mass, speed, and thruster type as you can. The more numbers I can get, the more I can be sure I've got the formula exactly right:

I've got it worked out to calculate speed (and boost speed) based on ship type, mass, and thruster type. Not just one value for each hull, the actual value for a specific mass. The goal is to have a formula that will work for any situation and a graph for each ship type that shows actual speeds for all conceivable masses.

The formulas I have now work great except for the edge cases near max/min/optimal mass for each thruster. Also, they aren't anywhere close to accurate for the enhanced performance thrusters. Thus the request for more data.
