Engineers Thrusters effect on Agility?

Are there thruster upgrades that effect agility? I know drive tuning can make them faster, but do they handle any better afterwards and how much effect does it have?

I am currently considering whether to change my DBX for a more agile ship, or try to get engineered thrusters. It's already fairly lightweight and A-rated thrusters so about as good as it gets without engineer's mods. But I don't even know if they'll help, or if I should just buy something else that I'd prefer to fly?

To be honest, I'm quite tempted to change it already as the lack of internal slots is a bit annoying. Once you fit SRV hanger, Fuel scoop, AFMU there is no room for a scanner and cargo - it's one or the other! I tried the ASP Exp before but found it a big cumbersome, even when properly sorted. So upgraded thrusters might help there. Or I could just get another Cobra MKIII!

Clean drives have less effect but run cooler, dirty have more effect but run hotter.

How much depends on your ship & outfitted ship mass vs grade and type of thrusters in general.

Which range between 10 to 30% in variation after the upgrade, which does not seem too much but its actually HUGE ingame.

Checkout Kornelius's Channel for comparison of some of the ships before and after the upgrade if you need something visual but honestly it has to be felt.
He explains it very well there.

So I could have an ASP that handled like a Cobra?

Cool!

Just been thinking about this. So on a ship where you tend to have a surfeit of power (like an Asp Ex) you might prefer Dirty tuning. But if you have a power-constrained ship (like a Vulture) Clean turning may be preferable and mean you can run better weapons, or whatever.

Does the clean/dirty thing effect heat output? - what you generally want from a smuggler is a ship with a high efficiency. Tuning that gave you less thermal losses would be awesome.

Just click at the right Moment when teh Wheel of Fortune Turns, you can make it stop just at the right moment :) Greatly increases the odds.

And yes to the ASP Cobra style.

Also regarding heat when you mod a good powerplant into the vulture you can have it all :)

Cheers!

Hello....click?

I thought that was entirely random?

Some claim that clicking helps. Who can tell though? Could be that the random outcome just happened to be favourable.

I think that's superstition.

It is. It's the same superstition that happens with real life slot machines. Sitting at specific slots at specific times of day only on Wednesdays and Saturdays, pressing the Spin button to stop the slot exactly 1.45 seconds after it starts on every odd numbered spin wins 4 out of 5 times. No guys, it's code that randomly generates a result at the instant you hit the generate button, whatever it is they call it. In the case of slots, it's spin or bet x.

<whispers> I know. I was trying to be kind.
