Hardware & Technical Thrusters on Thrustmaster Warthog

I used the little 'mini-stick' on the front of the warthog throttle for up/down/left/right thrusters for a bit, but had issues. I would thrust 'down' and release the mini-stick, but my ship would continue to move down. Sometimes for a fairly long time. Never in any other direction, and it was the worst when driving my 'vette.

Thinking it was something wrong with the mini-stick, I checked it's functionality (Win10) a few times, but the stick always returned to center regardless of how long or hard I pushed it.

I disabled it and went back to using the POV hat next to it. Not as easy to finesse as the analog (POV hat is digital), but at least my 'vette no longer does those sudden 'drops' when I least expect it.

Hi Captain Squareyez,

After reading all your latest posts I realized what is going on.
In order to get the verticle thrust working with your pedals, I needed to use andvanced programming features that are not supported by the GUI, I had always intended for you to run it from the script editor instead. If you try running that script In the scrip editor, rather than the GUI it should work perfectly.

Let me know if you are still interested and I can copy it into your latest script if you like.

Regards,

Burnt Phoenix

Ahhhh, that would explain it lol. Well, for now, leave it be, cause i have actually noticed when im in combat, i have a heavy foot, so i wont notice it anyway. The only time i do notice it, is if i am docking. Which is no biggy really. So, im getting used to it now anyway :)

I had mine setup exactly the same way, using the mini stick. I gave it up too because i had the same issue. But also other issues. Being, if i went thrusters left, then let go, it would go thruster right. If i went thruster right and let go, it would then go thruster left. Same with the up and down. I played around with the deadzones and made little to no difference. The only thing im using the mini stick for now, is Yaw left and right. And found that to work just fine lol. It doesnt continue when i let, it doesnt go the opposite way when i let go. It just stops. Pity really, cause i probably would have stuck with thrusters on the mini stick otherwise
