Hardware & Technical Thrustmaster Cougar not able to get the key assignments, etc to be recognized...

Gents:

I Have a wind 10 system. I have followed the guides on Cougar World to the letter and the HOTAS keys and axis are recognized. I try to dl into the HOtas A FILE ... its gets no confirmation the files were successfully downloaded......... I try DCS and the only thing I get is throttle control and joystk control..

Any ideas would be helpful.

thank you for response. I went ahead and removed from the Windows 10 system. I deleted the hotas files from the W10 system. I followed the instructions on COUGAR WORLD and reinstalled the 2004 firmware on the hotas.
It worked fine. I was able to work all the axis and keys. I was even and finally able to download "nutty's" IL2:COD files into the HOTAS and test the keys and axis(s)... all work.

I have another email back to TM asking them for detailed instruction on how to physically hook up the HOTAS to the WIN 10 sys ... do I reinstall the 2004 drivers as adm and Wind XP SP@ compatability.. or the 2007 as admin and Vista SP2 Compatability mode..................... or just hook them up and they will work.... It may be a language problem with the techs at TM............ as they are in France........ their answers are vague at best......

Do you use the Cougar HOTAS? What system?

Yes. I have the TM Warthog throttle and stick and a Cougar MFD set up on Win 7 64 bit. I just plugged them in and did all key assignments directly through the ED control options interface. it all worked fine for me right out of the box. I didn't download or install any TM drivers or software.

Best possible setup. Just add a Slaw Device if you really want to go overboard :)

10 12 15 update... I successfully reflashed on the Win XP system ... reconnected to the Win 10 without reflashing and it works.
