Thrustmaster HOTAS not auto recognized in Gamma?

Or is it just me? On all the previous versions, the game recognized the joystick and the default key settings were pretty darn close to how I map them. With this last upgrade, I just have "default joystick" which does not work with the thrustmaster. I had to remap most of the keys. Also, the left/right thrust on the throttle show up as Joystick Z axis... and so does the throttle rotation for Yaw. In other words, I can either have lateral thrust or yaw via the throttle, but the joystick twist does nothing.

Is there a way to export/import a joystick mapping?

Also, the light at the center of the joystick used to be green, now it's red... I pressed it, but nothing changes. Is this a driver thing?

Odd - it works fine with mine. At the risk of sound like tech support: have you unplugged the Warthog and plugged it back in again, not mention attempting to reboot the game once complete?
