Hardware & Technical Thrustmaster HOTAS X Driver Question?.

Had to start a new thread as apparently the old one has been locked. I have had my Thrustmaster HOTAS X since starting out on ED over two years ago and it works like it should and my binds are set and I am very happy with it. My PC which I built about 6 months ago is the Windows 10 creators version 64 bit OS and all up to date, while uninstalling a non ED or thrustmaster related program earlier today I noticed that the Thrustmaster driver install on my programs list FFD_4 iirc was an enormous 6.11GB, hang on a bit I thought, that can't be right as all my other program installs complete only took up 2.84GB. I checked the Thrustmaster folder in my C drive 64 bit, 32 bit and User files but none of them enlightened me as to what was taking up this 6.11GB of SSD space. I then went to the Thrustmaster site and downloaded a driver called 1.FFD.2017 for the Thrustmaster HOTAS X released on November 2017 and after install I see it takes up no space at all on my SSD. I uninstalled the present ones and after installing the new ones checked in game that my binds etc were all still working as before and they were. My question though is to you other HOTAS X users to see if anyone knows why this other driver was taking up 6.11GB of space and perhaps to check out your own installs?.

I have a Tflight HOTAS-X attached to my secondary computer and I don't have any Thrustmaster drivers loaded - it works perfectly well with the windows inbuilt HID-compliant game controller from Micro$oft.
