I just got into this game, and decided to pony up for a cheap hotas setup. After reading several folks on reddit suggesting that the t.flight 4 had a smaller dead zone than the T.flight x, I decided to try it out.
It is spectacular! Very responsive, and if there is a dead zone in the center I can't find it.
The one issue that I ran into is that binds files for the t.flight x aren't recognized out of the box. It's super easy to fix this, it just requires a text editor. All you need to do is find "ThrustMasterTFlightHOTASX" and replace it with "ThustMasterHOTAS4".
