Thrustmaster T-Flight HOTAS X?

Seeing as nobody answered! My first stick was a HOTA's X but now fly with a Logitech X56. When it comes to bindings they really are quite personal. Fly outside a station and bind what you most need depending on your main activity. The thrustmaster really is lacking buttons, so bind what you most need to be at hand and the role you fly. One thing I loved about the HOTA's X was it always made me feel like I was flying a fighter, something the X56 lacks? So ignore others bindings and build one that suits you.

On the subject of the Hotas X (or 4 or One) lacking buttons, what I do is use all four buttons next to my thumb on the throttle stick as modifiers. For example, my hat stick on the main stick is lateral/vertical thrusters by default. With the top throttle button down it does pips, with the 2nd button it does targetting (next/prev ship, next/prev subsystem), with the 3rd it opens my various HUD panels and with the 4th is does misc' things (lights, nightvision, silent running and FA off). So that means I have 20 functions on the hat stick alone. Now, before people shoot me down (literally!) I will add that in some ways this is a terrible setup as it means I can't operate my lateral thrusters and my pips at the same time but, as a non-PVP pilot who likes doing a casual amount of everything, sometimes in VR, it works brilliantly for me because I have pretty much everything bound to this stick (including the camera suite and the DSS) in a way that seems perfectly logical to me (although I was told several times at Lavecon that it was "a weird and perverse setup". 🤪)

I think we talked before Alex and my Hotas is set up very similar to yours as I remember. Like you I use buttons 5/6/7/8 as modifiers in conjunction with the hat. I also use the l/r control on the front of the throttle as a modifier eg have it set together with button 8 to go back and fore through my different hard point settings menu's. I use button 9 as boost, button 10 as flight assist on/off, button 11 as wheels up/down and button 12 as weapons. I only have a couple of keyboard shortcuts which I use. I have thought of using the l/r throttlr control with buttons 5/6/7 for the camera and scanners but untill I decide to go for Elite in exploration I haven't set them up that way yet. I saw a few of the downloadable Hotas-X options for ED years ago but wasn't impressed by any of them to be honest, it seemed that aq lot of people didn't realise just how many options there are on it.
