Hardware & Technical Thrustmaster T16000m mouse conflict issues

Hi Folks,

I originally started this inquiry in another thread on T16000m. However, I thought I may get more response if I started a new one. I had recently purchased a T16000m to replace an old Saitek Cyborg that was finally wearing out. (emphasis on Old Saitek) :p Starting to upgrade, and going to run with a T16000m and a CH Products throttle. Description below was happening on the first purchase, and the rest goes from there. Same thing occurring.

--------

yeah, so, I was traveling last week and just decided to Trade in the T16000 for another. Well... More testing to come, it wasn't a one off thing.

The stick and mouse work fine in Star Citizen. I then unplugged the stick, and started ED. The mouse worked fine in the menus on it's own. So I close it down, plug in the stick, and start ED again. Now at the main menu screen the highlighted menu selection is training at the top. When I try to move the mouse it jitters, and runs straight back to the top as I drag the mouse down. Have to drag down continually and spam the left mouse to hit the exit selection. Then tried to start game without the stick plugged in, and only plug it in after the main menu screen is loaded. As soon as you hear windows "bing" that it has recognized the stick the selection on the menu shoots up to "training" and here we go again.

Mouse and stick are not plugged into the same USB controller. Stick is on the front case USB 3.0, and mouse is on rear case/board USB 2.0

Just noticed something else. If I leave the mouse alone, or turn it off, the hat button tries to select the menu. I can only make it go down one selection on the menu, and it immediately goes right back to Training.

Therefore I have to assume that it is a conflict between the hat and the mouse. How in the world do I fix that? Is there something in windows, or bios regarding mouse, or USB?

Help me, Obi wan...

Sounds like the stick could be faulty, have you looked in Control Panel, Set Up USB Game Controllers to see if the hat is spamming input events?

I did, and what I found was vJoy actually with the hat in the up position by default. So much for using that mapping software. Not for ED, but in the end it was not the stick but a virtual one.

Maybe uninstall and try the "alternative" vjoy to the one you have at the moment; both are downloadable from the Joystick Curves page.

FWIW the Headsoft vjoy + Joystick Curves works fine with my tm16000m, I have no tried the other one.
